Marketers and communications professionals in financial services are often underappreciated.
There – we’ve said it.
Having worked closely with marketing and comms team clients at Rhotic Media for more than six years, we have seen first-hand how the months of research, preparation, execution and evaluation that go into delivering campaigns can often go overlooked – even when they shoot the lights out.
This was one of drivers behind the launch of Financial Promoter, which aims to highlight the hard work, innovation and just pure graft that go into campaign delivery, while showcasing best practice.
Through the pages of our magazine, website and hugely well-supported FP Live!, we are well on the way to building a community that can come together to debate and collaborate.
Our next step is to celebrate and congratulate!
Enter: Financial Promoter Awards.
Unlike many other departments, for whom there are countless celebrations, the people who not only find the budget for, enable the nominations to and herd guests towards awards events, don’t have one of their own – at least not one that recognises the whole sector.
At FP Live! in March, we heard in almost every session that marketing teams needed to demonstrate value to those who make decisions and sign off budgets. What better way to do it than through an independent awards scheme that elevates this vital link in the commercial chain?
The Financial Promoter Awards aim to shine a spotlight on the industry’s best marketers across the full spectrum of financial services. From P&C to pensions; private equity to payments.
They will show the tireless work of marcomms professionals in capital markets, personal finance, and insurance, highlighting their contribution to driving revenue in their business.
The nineteen categories range from awarding the top marketer in each vertical to the most successful sponsorship initiative, brand initiative, and digital campaign. Each category will be judged by experts who both know financial services and understand how marketing – and all its affiliate departments – need to operate to deliver a return on investment.
We recognise that marketers across financial services often consider third-party design, PR, and digital agencies as an extension of their team – we operate in the same way at Rhotic. Our agency awards provide the opportunity for shortlisted candidates to be shown at the top of their game in front of their target audience.
Our star categories – the platinum awards – consist of “In-house team of the year,” “Young Financial Promoter of the year,” and “Financial Promoter of the Year.” They celebrate the best of the best in marketing teams and support upcoming talent.
Want to know more? A full list of categories is on our website.
Want to take part? Nominations close on July 30.
Want to celebrate with us? Book your place at our gala black-tie dinner and champagne reception on Thursday 7 November – and bring your friends!
Hosted in the heart of the City of London, the evening is an opportunity for marketing professionals to come together and celebrate the profession.
After years of hard work, now is your time to shine.
