Chubb has expanded its partnership with the Australian Open, renewing its official insurance partner role and taking on broader sponsorship of additional segments.
The insurance company has signed a new agreement, expanding its partnership to include official life, trophy, and travel insurance partner roles for the Australian Open.
Under the new agreement, Chubb will feature its branding in the ‘close call’ moment, an electronic review system that replays key match moments. This provides the insurer with greater brand exposure during high-profile highlights.
Bryce Johns, president of Chubb Life, said: “As one of the world’s most popular tennis events, the Australian Open embodies the world class standards we deliver to our customers, many of whom are passionate sports enthusiasts. Together, we look forward to creating unforgettable moments for our customers and partners and celebrating the spirit of competition.”
The expanded partnership reinforces Chubb’s strategy of leveraging tennis sponsorships to promote its general and life insurance products. Chubb first partnered with the Australian Open in 2020 and that same year became the official insurance partner of the US Open Tennis Championships.
