Citibank has launched its first football promotional campaign in Singapore, offering customers the chance to attend the UEFA Champions League Final in 2024.
The campaign leverages its customers’ passion for football in a bid to increase credit and debit card spend, with every $1,000 of qualifying spend using a Mastercard providing cardholders with one chance in the draw.
Regina Lim, head of credit cards and personal Loans at Citibank, said Citibank is positioning itself as a bank that gives back to its customers by empowering them to pursue their passion.
“Given the immense following football has in Singapore, this campaign exemplifies our commitment to be the bank that gets our customers ahead and delivers exceptional value for them,” said Lim.
The exclusive opportunity will give 11 customers the chance to experience European football, with one child being given the opportunity to accompany a player onto the field.
Deborah Heng, country manager, Singapore, at Mastercard, said the partnership will bring cardholders close to the “ultimate European club football experience.”
“Recent statistics indicate that Singaporeans aged 16-64 are avid enthusiasts of football, with 66% of the cohort passionately following the sport,” Heng added.
The campaign will run from November 2023 to January 2024.
