eToro is continuing its extensive sports marketing programme with a fan giveaway event at West Ham United’s London stadium on Sunday (10 December).
The trading platform has steadily been growing its football sponsorships in recent years and now enjoys commercial partnerships with a host of Premier League football clubs including West Ham and Crystal Palace, who meet on Sunday.
The scarf giveaway is open to sports fans who download the eToro app and show it at the eToro stand located at Bridge Two of the London Stadium – between 11am and 1.30pm on Sunday. The app is available on Google Play or the App Store.
Fans attending Sunday’s match not only receive a free scarf, but can also be entered into a prize draw for their chance to win a 2023/24 West Ham shirt signed by the men’s squad.
To enter, fans are being encouraged to “tweet” a picture with the cutout of West Ham manager David Moyes at the stand, tagging @etoro and using the hashtag #myteametoro.
eToro has partnered with West Ham United for both its men’s and women’s teams, giving it a presence in communications relating to the Premier League and the Women’s Super League.
In a press statement earlier this year, Stephanie Wilks-Wiffen, director of marketing at eToro said both football and investing had traditionally been male-dominated activities, but in the last few years, this has been turned on its head.
She said: “With the explosion of women’s football, and the growing number of female retail investors, it makes complete sense for eToro to have a presence at women’s games, where we can support the continued growth of this sporting community.”
