Howden has taken its partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to “the next level,” from preferred insurance broker to official partner of the UK’s tennis governing body.
The partnership builds on Howden’s long-standing relationship with the LTA, having served as its official insurance broker for nearly 20 years, a role it will maintain under the new sponsorship deal.
It also reinforces Howden’s ongoing commitment to sport, with additional partnerships including The British and Irish Lions, Ascot Racecourse, and Emirates GBR in SailGP’s sailing championship.
The partnership aims to introduce the Howden brand to new audiences in communities across the UK. It also supports Howden’s mission to be deeply rooted in local areas, with over 200 branches and offices nationwide, as tennis is renowned for uniting communities, families, and the country.
David Howden, CEO and founder of Howden, said:” For almost two decades, Howden has been the insurance broker of choice for the LTA. But today we take it to the next level. We’re already two like-minded organisations. We both have a local presence in towns and cities the length and breadth of the UK. We both love serving our local communities. We are both equally passionate about nurturing grass roots sports. And we are both great British brands!”
“But by doubling up, we can provide even better support to our fantastic members and customers. At Howden we’re all about insuring greatness. And having added the LTA to our roster of stand-out sponsorships including Royal Ascot, the British and Irish Lions and Emirates Sail GP, we’ve now completed our very own sporting Grand Slam.”
