Lloyds Banking Group has launched a digital recruitment campaign on LinkedIn to raise interest in engineering roles it has open across the business.
Timed to coincide with International Women in Engineering Day (23 June), the UK banking giant featured colleagues from around the group to showcase the female talent it has working in different roles, with a link to the current open positions.
“We asked just some of the amazing engineers in our Group Infrastructure Services team why they’re proud to be championing diversity in tech, and sharing their best piece of advice to all the women and girls out there interested in engineering,” a spokesperson said.
The company invited engineers and tech minded females, in particular, to get involved with the campaign by commenting on posts by staff or applying through a dedicated Engineering page on the company’s site.
“By hiring more women into engineering roles, we can inspire young girls with an interest in tech to feel empowered to follow their dreams,” said Marie Dixon, messaging and surveillance engineer at the company.
The International Women in Engineering Day was established a decade ago by the Women’s Engineering Society, although its roots date back to 1919 after the First World War. In 2017, the day was awarded UNESCO patronage.
