Bank of America launches youth sports initiative in Spain

Bank of America has partnered with Fundación También to launch its Sports with Us youth development programme in Spain, using sport, mentoring and education to help young people build confidence and develop essential life skills.

The initiative will expand Fundación También’s Sports & Skills programme, supporting vulnerable young people with disabilities through inclusive football sessions, sports camps and large-scale sporting events.

Participants will also access educational resources covering leadership, teamwork, communication, wellbeing, nutrition and financial education.

Sports with Us is part of Bank of America’s global community investment strategy, which aims to positively impact more than 10,000 young people across 14 countries outside the US by the end of 2028. The wider platform spans 15 countries and provides access to sport for more than 1.2 million children.

Joaquín Arenas de Bedmar, Country Executive for Bank of America Spain and Portugal, said the partnership would help young people develop confidence, resilience and the skills needed to thrive.

Teresa Silva, Founder and Managing Director of Fundación También, said the programme would create more opportunities for young people across Spain to improve their wellbeing, develop lifelong skills and realise their potential.

The initiative forms part of Bank of America’s commitment to creating a lasting community legacy following its role as Official Bank of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
