Scottish Widows targets lost pensions with activation

Scottish Widows has teamed up with creative agency Leith to raise awareness of lost and forgotten pension pots through an interactive activation at Manchester Piccadilly Station.

The Lost & Found pop-up took place on Thursday 22 October, offering commuters the chance to win prizes, including £250 vouchers every hour, while highlighting the scale of unclaimed pension savings across Britain.

According to the Pensions Policy Institute (2024), people in Britain have an average of £9,470 sitting in lost or forgotten pension pots.

The activation aimed to bring the issue into the public consciousness ahead of National Pension Tracing Day on Sunday 25 October, encouraging people to consider whether they could have pensions from previous employers that they have lost track of.
