PIMCO is showcasing its internal ChatGPT with an interactive game at this year’s Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association Investment Conference.
The investment manager is encouraging delegates to “challenge Vera” by guessing how long it takes the AI-powered ChatGPT to complete tasks.
Alice Royston-Lee, SVP Head of UK Marketing at PIMCO, told Financial Promoter the idea of the game is to demonstrate the technology in a fun and interactive way.
“The game allows us to start that initial conversation,” said Royston-Lee.
The interactive game also asks delegates to create a limerick about savings and investments, which gives participants time to reflect and return to the stand throughout the conference.
“PLSA is an important event for us from an institutional point of view. We’re here to showcase our brand and be forefront in the minds of our key clients and contacts,” Royston-Lee added.
After the success of games in previous years, PIMCO aimed to replicate the buzz and conversation at this year’s event, she said.
PIMCO is pushing several campaigns at this year’s PLSA Investment Conference, which they target to individuals rather than leading with broad messaging.
“We push specific campaigns that are relevant to the right audience, with the right message, and at the right time,” said Royston-Lee.
PIMCO is a global leader in active fixed income across public and private markets.
PLSA Investment Conference is being held in Edinburgh between 27 and 29 February.
