Sibos, one of the leading financial services conferences, has put ESG at the heart of this year’s event.
With over thirty scheduled sessions on sustainability, equality, and diversity, the conference programme reflects Sibos’ commitment to drive positive change within the industry.
In an update on “Sibos Insider,” the team said the sessions will provide “participants with valuable insights on subjects such as empowering the financially excluded, facilitating distribution of humanitarian aid and the future of green finance.”
The first of the ESG sessions will begin with the in-person and online roundtable “The 2+2=5 effect: Joining forces to achieve more in ESG” at 13.00 EDT (18.00 GMT) on Monday 18 September.
Aside from its conference programme, Sibos has also asked visitors to #LeadTheChange by taking part in its sustainability pledge.
To participate, visitors have been asked to make five positive actions during the week, such as opting to use Toronto’s free public transport, selecting the vegan meal at lunchtime, and visiting and donating to the charity stand.
Once committed to the pledge, visitors will receive a virtual sustainability badge on their online Sibos profile.
Sibos is being held in Toronto from 18 September to 21 September and covers sectors such as banking, fintech, and payments.
