Standard Life has strengthened its three-year partnership with Samaritans through its festive campaign.
The social media and TV advertisement campaign – which will run on Christmas Day – will be funded by the savings provider to help the charity keep its services running over the festive period.
Sangita Chawla, chief marketing officer at Standard Life, said the new film provides certainty that the mental health charity will be available for those in need.
“This campaign builds on our valuable relationship with Samaritans, who are instrumental in ensuring our Helping Hand teams are well-placed to support individuals facing some of life’s most difficult events.
“Through the use of our film, we’ve been able to extend some of the lessons we’ve learned to a wider audience in a different way and give people greater confidence to support anyone in their lives who may be struggling,” Chawla said.
The campaign aims to encourage awareness and support of the charity and remind the audience that help is available.
Richard Amos, head of corporate partnerships at Samaritans, said the partnership has helped raise both funds and the awareness of the importance of listening across corporate customer support teams.
Throughout its three-year partnership, Samaritans has delivered training support to Standard Life’s employees on how to support customers in vulnerable circumstances.
Internally, Standard Life has incorporated this film into their own training. The film “No one wants to talk to me” follows an employee dealing with difficult circumstances.
“No one wants to talk to me” will also be released across social media, acting as another reminder of the importance of empathetic listening during the festive period.
