Standard Life has launched its “trustee accelerator programme” to drive inclusion within the pensions industry.
The savings company will produce a variety of marketing assets to celebrate the programme’s success and showcase the progress of participants throughout the course.
Andrea Ansell, Master Trust marketing lead at Standard Life, told Financial Promoter the marketing materials to accompany the programme “won’t be static” and will be consistently refreshed.
“We’ve applied a variety of marketing support to launch our Trustee Accelerator Programme.
“Ranging from a traditional print prospectus to incorporating digital engagement through developing a dedicated online presence and using video content in our social media posts,” she said.
The two-year programme will be available to anyone, including those with no previous pension experience, to support increased diversity in the trustee community.
In partnership with the Pension Management Institute (PMI), the programme will also provide the qualifications necessary to become trustee ready.
Designed with flexibility in mind, Standard Life’s programme will allow for other commitments to be upheld whilst studying to “further promotion to attract as diverse a pool of candidates as possible.”
Those taking part will gain experience within trustee board meetings, gaining a network of pension professionals.
Standard Life is part of the Phoenix Group, the largest long-term savings and retirement business in the UK.
