Sutton Winson has become the first of Acrisure’s nine UK-based retail insurance brokers to rebrand, adopting the new name Acrisure UK Broking.
The rebrand follows US-based Acrisure’s acquisition of Sutton Winson, a deal announced in October 2022 and finalised in January 2023, as part of its strategy to expand into the UK.
Acrisure entered the UK market in 2022 with the purchase of Nottinghamshire-based Russell Scanlan, and has since acquired other firms, including Global Broking Solutions, Financial and Credit Insurance Services and Scottish broker WH & R McCartney.
The other insurance companies that were acquired by Acrisure are expected to complete their rebrands over the course of 2025.
Sally Swann, managing director of Acrisure UK Retail Broking in the South, said: “We are delighted to be the first retail broker to officially become Acrisure and while our name has changed,”
“It will not affect the extraordinary value and service that our clients have come to expect from us. It is the same team, expertise and dedication that we will be providing to our longstanding clients across all our corporate, personal, healthcare, high net worth, commercial and specialty sectors.”
To reinforce its strategy to establish a presence in the UK, Acrisure recently signed as the official insurance partner of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.
Through this partnership, Acrisure is the shirt sponsor of the women’s team, The Blaze. In addition, The Fox Road stand at the club’s ground has been renamed the Acrisure Stand.
