Virgin Money has launched a pension scheme in partnership with abrdn to help customers take control of their retirement finances.
At a time when financial advice has a low engagement rate, the scheme aims to promote consumer autonomy through its simple, options-based scheme and provides customers with the tools to enhance their confidence.
The pension offers two simple options – “navigator” and “self drive” – giving consumers the choice to be hands off or hands on with their pensions, while offering four different approaches from careful, cautious, balanced, or adventurous growth.
Rob Jefferson, head of marketing, Virgin Money, told Financial Promoter: “Following the success of our ‘Kiss my ISA’ campaign to promote our new investment options earlier this year, we have some exciting plans to hero both our Stocks and shares ISA proposition and our new pension in the coming months.”
Virgin Money has also added a series of guides and videos to its website to enhance confidence in planning for retirement.
Virgin Money’s recent “Kiss my ISA” campaign focused on showing consumers investment is something to feel confident about – a key component in Virgin Money’s 2023 campaigns.
The pension will be accessible on Virgin Money’s online service and app, allowing consumers to track their pensions and investments in an accessible way, as well as combining existing pensions to give consumers control over their retirement.
