Visa has unveiled a new opportunity to leverage the revolutionary capabilities of the younger generation.
The organisation’s “Junior Inventors’ Day” is designed to put the minds of 8- to 14-year-olds to the test in a human-centred design session.
The opportunity aims to harness the potential of upcoming young minds, said Charlotte Hogg, CEO at Visa Europe, on LinkedIn.
“Young people’s expectations have the potential to revolutionise economies, so I’m looking forward to hearing their ideas about how money will move in the future,” Hogg said.
Those with a budding interest in tech, innovation, and being part of a simple future are urged to apply to the scheme by 31 January.
The campaign follows Visa’s recent “Generation Alpha” report, which notes the interesting views the upcoming generation has for the future, such as bank cards registered to fingerprints.
Hosted at Visa’s European headquarters in London in April this year, the selected participants will gain first-hand mentoring from Visa’s brightest minds.
The young person with the most intriguing idea on the day will be offered the position of junior chief innovation officer.
Awarded with an invitation to attend a board meeting, the young idea can be evaluated for future execution.
