With more than two decades of marketing experience across legal, retail, and financial services, Janel Thomas has established herself as a dynamic leader in banking.
As Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President at Avidia Bank since 2019, she has overseen brand strategy, customer engagement, and growth initiatives for an institution with over $2 billion in assets.
Her role builds on a career spanning banks of varying scale, from $500 million to $6 billion, giving her a unique perspective on how to tailor marketing strategies to different market environments.
Before joining Avidia, Thomas held senior marketing roles at Northern Bank, Brookline Bank, and Salem Five, following earlier experience in legal marketing at Nutter LLP.
A graduate of Salem State University in Business Administration and Southern New Hampshire University with a master’s in marketing, she has also completed advanced banking programmes at the New England School of Finance Studies and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
