Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) has launched a fraud prevention campaign aimed at helping customers stay one step ahead of scammers.
The campaign reminds people that taking a moment to think before acting online can be one of the most effective ways to protect themselves.
At the heart of the initiative is a 30-second spot that uses a playful, light-hearted approach to convey a serious message that rushing when banking online can make customers more vulnerable to fraud.
The spot features famously slow-moving animals, a snail and a tortoise, to encourage viewers to “take your sweet time” when managing their finances digitally.
The advert highlights that scammers thrive on creating a sense of urgency, pressuring people to act quickly without thinking. The on-screen message reinforces the bank’s commitment to customer security: “Scammers want you to rush. Our app security features help you take your sweet time.”
BNZ’s campaign is an integrated effort, running across multiple platforms including television, cinema, OOH advertising, social media, digital channels and the bank’s own owned media.
