How does it feel to be shortlisted for the 2025 Financial Promoter Awards?
It’s incredibly rewarding to be recognised by The Financial Promoter Awards and this acknowledgement shows there’s real appetite in our industry for clarity, bold ideas, and storytelling that cuts through.
It’s reflected in our ethos at Augment Risk – where thinking differently isn’t just encouraged-it’s expected. It’s wonderful being shortlisted for this prestigious award in my first year at the firm.
What does this recognition mean to you, your team, and your organisation?
At Augment Risk we believe that strong marketing and communications delivered well is a strategic enabler for growth. It’s great to work here with likeminded people who understand the true power of storytelling and brand credibility.
This is a firm with exceptional leadership, innovation at its core – with a true strategic vision.
What part of your work are you most proud of?
Its hard to choose one part, but I’m most proud of how we elevated and continued to build out our brand equity and helped supported business growth this year.
We launched campaigns that highlighted our expertise and produced thought leadership content – which was solution driven and tailored to client need.
What was the biggest challenge you faced, and how did you overcome it?
Simplifying complexity was the challenge. We overcame it through true partnership with our experts – and by working in a culture where there’s no hierarchy to navigate, so decisions are clear and bold ideas move fast.
How do you see marketing and communications evolving in financial services over the next few years?
As an industry we’re shifting toward authenticity, purpose, and bespoke, tailored segmentation. At the same time, AI and data will drive precision. The challenge will be combining digital tools with human empathy.
If you could give one piece of advice to others entering these awards in the future, what would it be?
Focus on outcomes, not outputs. Judges want to see measurable impact – did you build trust, did you create value, did you drive change? That’s what matters.
Are you excited for the gala in November? What are you most looking forward to?
Absolutely. It’s inspiring to connect with peers and share ideas. Financial Promoter have built a real community within financial services and it’s great to play a part in this across the global marketing & communications ecosystem.
How do you and your team celebrate success?
Recognition fuels motivation and we celebrate success in ways that reflect our culture – open, transparent and people-focused. We take the time to highlight not only the outcomes but also the collaboration, creativity, and ownership that made them possible.
We celebrate by ensuring that everyone shares in the value created – success is cumulative, and our model of ownership makes it meaningful.
