The Lloyd’s market has launched the largest city-wide health and wellbeing campaign ever undertaken in the Square Mile, aligning with Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.
Titled “Be Breast and Chest Aware: Make Self-Checks a Lifesaving Habit,” the campaign is led by Lloyd’s in partnership with workplace health specialist Thrive4Life.
The goal of the campaign is to empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence to prioritise their health through regular self-checks and early detection.
More than 20 market sponsors have joined the initiative, including Allianz, AXA XL, Chubb, Axis, Dale Underwriting, Apollo Underwriting and Liberty Specialty Markets.
The campaign includes a webinar hosted by Joanna Franks, consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon at major London hospitals, who will share expert guidance on recognising early signs and symptoms of breast cancer and demonstrate practical self-check techniques. She will also stress the importance of early detection and timely medical referral.
As part of its involvement, Chubb is offering employees access to private nurse-led breast check sessions, educational talks, interactive webinars, and pop-up events throughout the month.
