At Money 20/20 USA, Circle unveiled that Grammy Award-winning musician Wyclef Jean will serve as its global culture advisor, marking a bold step in the company’s mission to make digital finance more accessible and inclusive.
Drawing on his own experience growing up in Haiti, Wyclef will collaborate with Circle to shine a light on the challenges faced by people with limited access to traditional financial services – and the opportunities presented by digital wallets and stablecoins to bridge that gap.
The partnership aims to connect culture and innovation, using storytelling and community engagement to show how Circle’s USDC stablecoin can empower individuals and small businesses around the world with faster, more transparent and more equitable financial tools.
Kash Razzaghi, chief commercial officer at Circle, said: “We are proud to welcome Wyclef Jean as our Global Culture Advisor,
“His artistry, activism and entrepreneurial spirit embody the human-centered innovation that defines Circle. Wyclef’s voice transcends genres and borders, making him the perfect partner to help us illustrate how – when brought together – culture and technology can raise global economic prosperity.”
By combining his influence as an artist, humanitarian and entrepreneur with Circle’s technology and reach, the collaboration seeks to inspire a new generation to embrace digital currency as a force for financial empowerment.
As part of his new role, Wyclef will work closely with Circle’s leadership and creative teams to develop initiatives that celebrate cultural diversity, drive inclusion and spotlight real-world stories of stablecoin adoption across emerging markets.
At Money 20/20, Circle framed the announcement as more than a partnership and instead as a step forward in the movement to bring financial technology to the heart of global culture.
