Proud team members from Schroders Personal Wealth have conquered a 400km charity fundraiser in aid of Alzheimer’s Research UK.
The event, which took place across undulating and mountainous terrain in Albania between 10 and 17 May raised thousands for the charity and was led by chief executive officer Mark Duckworth and three members of the wealth manager’s executive team.
“Dementia is a cause close to our hearts, as many of our colleagues, clients, and their families, have been deeply impacted by this devastating condition,” a company spokesperson said.
“This challenge represented not only a test of physical endurance but also a commitment to raising funds for vital research, to make a difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.”
To run alongside the event, colleagues back in the UK hosted an Almost Albania fundraising event at their London and Leeds offices, cycling 400km collectively.
The group’s fundraising efforts were also supported by Capgemini, Accenture and Huntswood.
