West Brom Building Society has entered the next phase of its digital transformation journey aimed at modernising its capabilities while staying true to its customer-first ethos.
West Brom is partnering with Deloitte and 10x Banking in a multi-year deal that will see the building society adopt Deloitte’s Converge front-end accelerator, integrated with 10x’s meta core platform.
The partnership will help West Brom launch new savings products faster, simplify account management, cut operational complexity, and give customers real-time access across channels.
Jonathan Westhoff, CEO of West Brom Building Society, said the digital transformation seeks to enable the building society to better align its products and services with customer needs.

The campaign aligns with a wider push across the sector to modernise systems, enhance customer experience and stay competitive amid growing pressure from digital-first banks and fintech disruptors.
This digital shift is particularly timely as the building society sector prepares to mark its 250th anniversary, a milestone that’s shining a spotlight on the need for mutuals to evolve in line with digital innovation, AI adoption, and rising consumer expectations.
The multi-phase strategy will focus initially on enhancing West Brom’s digital savings products, including the migration of existing accounts onto the new platform.
It will also support broader improvements across the mortgage portfolio, reflecting the society’s commitment to delivering a seamless, modernised customer experience.
