eToro has partnered with Google to launch a brand campaign created entirely using Veo 2, Google DeepMind’s new generative AI video technology.
The campaign, which debuted in Italy, is among the first in the advertising world to be fully produced using Veo 2, which enables cinematic-quality video generation based on text and visual prompts.
The ads draw on consumer insights from a survey conducted by ACRI, which found that 28% of Italians under the age of 44 save primarily for travel and leisure, 20% for durable goods while only 10% save to build long-term wealth.
Reflecting these findings, the AI-generated campaign features aspirational scenes such as driving through Tuscany in a sports car and celebrating a wedding on Lake Como.
The visual metaphors are designed to connect emotionally with viewers’ short-term financial goals.
Yannay Politi, VP of brand marketing at eToro, said: “With this campaign, we’ve fully embraced the power of generative AI to tell our story in a bold and dynamic way. Veo 2 proved to be the perfect fit for eToro’s brand strategy, offering a next-level solution to produce compelling localised videos, providing realistic motion and high-quality output at a remarkable speed,
“Partnering with a pioneer like Google and collaborating with leading AI creators has allowed us to move beyond traditional advertising and explore what’s possible at the intersection of technology and creativity. This is more than a media campaign; it’s a statement about the future of marketing.”
The creative concept was designed specifically for the Italian market, with support from agency Marketing Arena.
The campaign is currently running across television, YouTube, connected TV, and outdoor media in Italy, with plans for expansion into additional markets where eToro operates.
