Emirates NBD has partnered with Visa to launch a campaign fronted by iconic football manager Pep Guardiola, bringing his tactical genius from the pitch to everyday financial decisions.
The “Play It Like Pep” campaign, which is reimagined as “Pay It Like Pep” in the spot, aims to bring Guardiola’s famed strategic mindset and pursuit of perfection to consumers’ everyday decisions, encouraging them to act with clarity, confidence and purpose.
The campaign speaks first to football fans across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, aligning the banking giant and payment network with the sport their customers love.
At the same time, it targets younger audiences who view Guardiola as more than a coach and instead as a cultural icon whose tactical expertise extends beyond the stadium.
In the spot, Guardiola guides young customers through the idea that everyday purchases, such as buying a new pair of shoes, can be approached with the same careful planning he applies on the pitch. In one scene, he tells them: “You don’t just buy shoes, you build around it, you wear it and commit.” He closes by reminding them to “pay like a pro, guys.”

Guardiola’s role in the campaign comes after he joined Visa as a global ambassador in February. The two-year collaboration is designed to give football fans in the region access to exclusive experiences through banking partners like Emirates NBD.
