Australian investment platform Stake has unveiled the ‘Ambition Project’, an initiative aimed at helping Australians achieve their most ambitious personal projects.
The initiative is designed to directly fund Australians’ personal goals to turn their “next big thing” into reality while also serving as a rallying call for the next generation of trailblazers.
For the first edition of the ‘Ambition Project’, Stake is backing three standout Australians. Surfer Laura Enever, a world champion and big wave record holder, is receiving support to produce her next wave-focused documentary.
Chef Sam Young is using Stake’s investment to expand the outdoor experience at his restaurant, Young’s Palace. Meanwhile, Sydney punk band FANGZ is taking their music to the US, supported by Stake to help fund their tour.
To showcase these journeys, Stake has partnered with publisher Man of Many to produce a three-part documentary series, accompanied by a dedicated content hub highlighting the stories of ambition and perseverance.
The project builds on Stake’s Onwards brand platform, which launched in 2024, and represents a broader push to encourage confidence, creativity and momentum among Australians.
By backing these personal ventures, Stake is positioning itself as a platform that not only invests money but also invests in people.
Matt Leibowitz, CEO and founder of Stake, said: “Stake has always been about empowering people to go further. We want to cultivate ambition in Australia. One way is by offering the best investment opportunities in market. But another is by genuinely investing in bold Australians. Through the Ambition Project, we’re recognising local stories and in turn, inspiring Australians to take their next step.”
