JP Morgan Chase is to sponsor the Olympic Games, becoming the games’ first ever global banking partner.
In a media announcement today (28 April) the company confirmed it had struck “a landmark worldwide Olympic partnership” with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
The agreement spans the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the French Alps 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and also makes the firm the Official Bank of Team USA and a founding partner of LA28.

“This partnership reflects our shared values of ambition, excellence and will support the Olympic Movement and sport around the world. JP Morgan Chase’s global reach and expertise will deliver lasting support for athletes and help create a lasting impact in communities worldwide.”
For the IOC, the deal marks a significant expansion of its commercial programme into the banking sector for the first time, while giving JP Morgan Chase a global platform to align its brand with the Olympic Movement’s values and its vast international audience. The partnership is positioned as a long-term investment in athlete support, community development and the financial sustainability of the Games, with both organisations emphasising shared commitments to ambition, excellence and social impact.

The firm, which operates in more than 60 countries and serves clients in over 100 markets, will support athletes through initiatives including financial health workshops delivered via the IOC’s Athlete365 platform. It will also invest in local communities in host cities, building on its longstanding presence in Los Angeles and France.
Revenues generated through the partnership will be redistributed across the global sporting ecosystem, supporting National Olympic Committees, athletes and future Organising Committees. JP Morgan Chase will hold category rights across asset and wealth management, private banking, commercial banking and investment banking, and will serve as a Founding Partner of LA28 in retail banking.
