Marsh has completed its global rebrand, with Mercer now adopting the Marsh name as the group brings its businesses together under one unified identity.
Marsh has completed the next stage of its global brand transformation, with its people and investments business, formerly known as Mercer, officially adopting the Marsh brand from September 1, 2026.
The move forms part of a wider strategy announced by Marsh McLennan in October 2025 to bring its businesses together under the Marsh name and create a more unified offering for clients.
The new Marsh brand brings together specialist capabilities across risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting.
Mercer has been part of the group since 1959 and provides expertise across investments and retirement, health and benefits, and workforce and rewards.
Pat Tomlinson, CEO of Marsh People and Investments, said the move would give clients access to the broader capabilities, insights and scale available through Marsh.
“The expanded Marsh brand builds on everything that has made Mercer great – our deep expertise, specialisation and our unparalleled data,” Tomlinson said.
The wider rebrand will see Marsh and Mercer operate under the Marsh name, while Guy Carpenter will become Marsh Re. Oliver Wyman will continue to operate as Oliver Wyman, a Marsh business, while Oliver Wyman Group will become Marsh Management Consulting.
The group also introduced a new visual identity and logo as part of the transformation, designed to represent the broader capabilities being brought together under the Marsh brand.
The company has said the unified brand is intended to make it easier for clients to access expertise across its businesses while reflecting its growing focus on data, AI, analytics and professional services.
The rebrand marks a significant shift for one of the world’s largest professional services groups, bringing decades of specialist expertise from its different businesses under a single global Marsh identity.
The move follows Marsh’s announcement in October 2025 that its businesses would unite under the Marsh brand, with the group saying the change reflects its combined capabilities, scale and impact.
Pat Tomlinson, CEO of Marsh People and Investments, said the unified brand gives clients greater access to the breadth of capabilities and expertise available across Marsh.
“The expanded Marsh brand builds on everything that has made Mercer great – our deep expertise, specialization and our unparalleled data,” Tomlinson said.
He added that bringing the businesses together under one brand would allow Marsh to have a “more visible impact” for colleagues, clients and communities globally.
