American Express has rewarded its customers with exclusive benefits, from gourmet tasting events to a one-night-only concert to celebrate its 175th anniversary.
American Express kickstarted its anniversary celebrations with a week-long event, offering exclusive benefits to members across retail, dining and entertainment.
In partnership with Resy, American Express offered cardholders a complimentary martini at five select restaurants across the US. These venues also hosted exclusive one-night-only events featuring live music and curated tasting menus for members.
American Express rolled out special offers across retail, giving members credits to use at brands such as Kiehl’s and Levi’s.
It also hosted a one-night-only concert in New York with Gracie Abrams. The experience provided attendees with photo opportunities with Abrams, branded decor, complimentary pizza slices and a shelf with Abrams’ favourite books that fans could take home.
Beyond marking its anniversary, American Express’ partnership with Gracie Abrams supports its broader strategy to engage younger audiences. While Abrams and her songwriting have resonated with Gen Z and millennial fans, Amex is aiming to connect with these generations as they grow more financially savvy.
