UBS Global Management has pledged to support the Jersey community and its mission to become more physically active as the official partner of the Supertri League, a short-course triathlon.
The partnership with Supertri highlights a shared focus on performance, purpose and making a positive contribution, both in terms of investment and sport, as well as supporting the local community in Jersey.
Tobias Wehrli, country head Jersery at UBS Global Wealth Management, said: “This event is about more than just sport, it aligns with Jersey’s ‘Inspiring an Active Jersey’ initiative, aiming to increase physical activity, community participation, and inspire the next generation.”
The ‘Inspiring an Active Jersey’ initiative was launched by the government in 2020. It sets out a vision for Jersey to become one of the most physically active populations in the world by 2030, which will contribute to a healthier, more productive and fairer society.
Supertri’s tournament, which first came to Jersey four years ago, supports this vision by raising the island’s international sporting profile, driving tourism and economic activity as well as encouraging healthier lifestyles across the community.
UBS is supporting this mission by building on Supertri League’s legacy through its sponsorship of this year’s event, which it will leverage to increase community participation and inspire more islanders to lead active lifestyles.
