The very best financial marketers and communicators were recognised last night (7 November) in a lavish ceremony hosted at London’s One Moorgate Place.
The inaugural Financial Promoter Awards, sponsored by Opinium, saw the work of chief marketing officers, and their teams, assessed and scored by an expert team of 17 industry specialists and applauded by their peers.
Aon CMO Alexandra Lewis won Financial Promoter of the Year – the major award of the night – with judges commending her market understanding, campaign execution, stakeholder engagement and commitment to lifelong learning. Fellow insurance CMO Georgina Peters-Venzano of Beazley was also a finalist in the same category and won Insurance Marketer of the Year.
It was a good night for the insurance industry with Hiscox taking home Marketing Campaign of the Year, Swiss Re winning Brand initiative of the Year, and Aon winning Content Campaign of the Year for its 2023 Reinsurance Renewal Season campaign.
The investment sector also featured heavily in the winner’s lists throughout the night with BlackRock winning Digital Campaign of the Year and Schroders taking home PR Campaign of the Year.
Investment Marketer of the Year went to Impax Asset Management’s Natasha Colwell-Lyons, Bank Marketer of the Year was awarded to Amina Bank’s chief product officer, Myles Harrison and Payments Marketer of the Year was collected by BCB Group’s Sam Shrager.
In the agency categories, FTI Consulting took home PR Agency of the Year, a whisker ahead of Edelman Smithfield, while Balance won Digital Agency of the Year. In the Design Agency of the Year category, Designhouse were triumphant.
