Allianz Global Investors has received a Red Dot Design Award for its new sonic signature.
The Red Dot Award is a prestigious international, annual competition for product design, communication design, and design concepts.
Alastair Fairbrother, head of communications and positioning at AllianzGI, said the sound logo is designed to be the “sonic equivalent” of Allianz’s visual identity.
“Since launch, we’ve been using our sound logo as the intro or outro on all our global corporate videos – internally and externally.
“Using the logo consistently helps strengthen our brand and helps clients acoustically recognise AllianzGI,” said Fairbrother.
The melody reflects Allianz’s global client and colleague base through its catchy and light-hearted tune, appealing to a wide audience.
Reflecting on the importance of sound identity, Alastair added: “A unique sonic identity can help a brand cut through with colleagues and clients in an emotionally engaging way that visual communication can sometimes struggle to achieve.
“Since its launch, we’ve incorporated our sonic signature into global communications and marketing materials across our business, and it is now firmly established as part of our brand identity at Allianz Global Investors,” said Fairbrother.
The award-winning acoustic logo forms part of AllianzGI’s broader sonic identity, which is used across events, webinars, and podcasts.
