AXA has announced a strategic partnership with Publicis Sapient as the insurer accelerates the next phase of its artificial intelligence transformation programme.
The collaboration will focus on expanding AXA’s vendor-agnostic Global AI Hub, a platform designed to help the group deploy AI agents securely, responsibly and at scale across its international operations.
The initiative aims to reduce both development costs and time-to-market by providing AXA entities with a shared AI infrastructure, allowing local teams to concentrate on delivering business value rather than building common AI foundations independently.
The first version of the Global AI Hub was launched in July and is already being used by five AXA entities, including operations in the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland and AXA XL.
The platform provides governance, security, compliance and operational oversight throughout the AI lifecycle, while enabling AXA to manage and deploy different large language models (LLMs) and AI capabilities across a range of business applications.
Current use cases under development include motor claims automation, customer email processing and enterprise knowledge management.
Matthieu Caillat, Group Chief Technology & AI Officer and Chief Executive Officer of AXA Group Operations, said the partnership would help the insurer accelerate AI adoption while maintaining the governance standards required in a highly regulated industry.

The partnership combines AXA’s insurance and responsible AI expertise with Publicis Sapient’s enterprise AI engineering capabilities and specialist talent.
