Canada Life will produce an online show and a variety of digital content in support of Pensions Awareness Week.
The asset management and pensions company hopes to encourage its new and existing customers to take charge of their financial futures throughout the week.
Lara Bealing, marketing director at Canada Life, said the backing of Pensions Awareness Week comes at a time where the cost-of-living crisis is having a serious effect on people’s financial futures, adding that the support is “absolutely the right thing to do.”
“Our marketing team has been working hard to ensure that existing or potential new customers can easily access pension related videos, articles and tools to use on our website not only during the event, but also able to access information after the week finishes.
“For instance, we’ve developed jargon-busting ‘all-things-pensions’ guides, and equity release explainers, recognising people’s retirements come in all different shapes and sizes,” said Bealing.
The online show will also discuss the practicalities of retirement planning, such as how customers can find the right financial adviser for them.
The support follows Canada Life’s recent research that found 71% of UK adults have not spoken to a financial adviser about their retirement plans, but around one in two UK adults (49%) would consider this in the future.
Pensions Awareness Week is an annual five-day event running from 11–15 September.
