Carlyle has signed as Oracle Red Bull Racing’s exclusive investment management partner, marking the first time a major global private markets firm has partnered with a Formula One team.
As part of the multi-year global partnership, Carlyle branding will be featured across key team assets, including the car chassis, drivers’ team kit, pit wall and garage environment.
The partnership is based on similarities between the two fields as in both investing and Formula One success relies on precision, careful execution and effective teamwork.
Therefore, the partnership brings together two organisations recognised globally for their performance and innovation in their respective industries.
In addition, both industries are similar as they both currently experiencing growth, driven by technology, powered by data and reaching wider audiences than ever before.
For example, Formula One is expanding its global fan base and redefining engagement in an elite sport. Meanwhile, private markets are becoming increasingly accessible, creating new opportunities for investors worldwide.
Through their partnership, Red Bull and Carlyle aim to explore new avenues for engagement, enhance global connectivity, and develop initiatives leveraging data and technology to broaden access across both private markets and Formula One.
Harvey Schwartz, CEO of Carlyle, said: “Our industry is undergoing an extraordinary transformation, fuelled by greater access to private markets and growing interest from a new generation of investors. That same spirit of growth and inclusivity is reshaping Formula 1®, as Oracle Red Bull Racing leads the way in expanding the sport to new audiences globally. This partnership unites two high-performing teams driven by innovation and excellence.”
