Cash App has announced the launch of a limited-edition “brat” Cash App Visa Card, bringing to life a fictional banking partnership featured in A24’s critically acclaimed meta-mockumentary The Moment.
The film, which chronicles Charli xcx during her ‘brat’ album era, features a storyline in which the singer signs a banking card partnership and unveils a fictional brat card.
The on-screen prop quickly captured fans’ attention, prompting widespread calls across social media for a real, functional version.
Responding to the surge in demand, A24 released a limited-edition $10 “movie merch” dummy card, which sold out within hours. The momentum has now culminated in a fully functional card issued by Cash App.
Available exclusively via Cash App from 25 February 2026, the limited-edition brat Card represents a crossover between fan culture and financial services, transforming a fictional moment into a tangible product.
“Cash App is uniquely positioned to bring something like the brat Card to life in a way that feels authentic,” said Nick Molnar, Cash App’s marketing lead.
“We saw how much excitement there was from fans and worked closely with the team to make it happen.”
The initiative underscores Cash App’s strategy of embedding itself within cultural moments that resonate strongly with its user base.
Financial marketers and communications leaders who have delivered standout work in the US market are encouraged to enter the Financial Promoter Awards USA 2026, entries open until 10 April.
