Cazenove Capital – the UK wealth management business of Schroders – has announced its sponsorship of an art exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery between February and May 2025.
The exhibition, entitled “Flowers – Flora in Contemporary Art & Culture” opens on 12 February and will occupy two floors and the world renowned London gallery with more than nine major gallery spaces.
Mary-Anne Daly, chief executive of Cazenove Capital said Cazenove’s involvement in the exhibition is to celebrate London’s vibrant role as a hub of creativity and excellence across many fields, including fashion, music, medicine, enterprise, and professional services.
She said: “The beauty and fragility of flowers have inspired countless individuals throughout history and continue to touch us all.
“We are pleased to present the botanical art pieces collected by the Schroder family over our 220-year history, and we hope every visitor leaves feeling as optimistic about the future as we do.”
The exhibition will feature large-scale installations, original art, photography, fashion, archival objects and graphic design exploring the on-going influence of flowers on creativity and human expression.
Cazenove’s sponsorship of the arts event is in keeping with the brand’s event-led brand strategy which included commercial support for the Modern Affluence Summit in September, aligning the brand with other luxury names such as Aston Martin.
In announcing the new deal, the company said that the exhibition will seek to “reveal the myriad ways that flowers continue to be depicted by artists and their omnipresence within contemporary culture”.
A spokesperson said: “Aside from studies of their inherent beauty and drama, flowers are also utilised as symbols, signifiers or metaphors for human emotions and impulses.
“Flora lies at the heart of myths and stories that inform our cultural outlook and language. Recognised as unparalleled objects of beauty in nature, artists continue to evoke the power and beauty of flora to convey a multitude of messages and meanings.”
