Charles Stanley has gone back to basics with its event giveaways at this year’s Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association Investment Conference.
To draw in clients and promote its messaging of targeting all sizes of pension schemes, the fiduciary manager has led a competition to win a Fortnum & Mason hamper.
Imelda Kelly, senior marketing executive at Charles Stanley, said the company has utilised its share of the event space by attracting footfall without taking up too much space with the traditional drinks areas.
“We know a lot of stands host coffee and cocktails, but we wanted to be slightly different with a good, old-fashioned raffle.
“PLSA is the biggest event that brings together our clients in one place. We’re here to raise our brand in the marketspace, to remind our clients that we’re present,” said Kelly.
The exhibitor stand is positioned next to an open panel discussion area, prompting attendees to glance over at the stand and want to get involved, Kelly added.
The fiduciary manager is reminding PLSA delegates and current and potential clients that it will deal with all pension schemes, no matter the size.
“A lot of our competitors will only take clients at a certain value, but we take them from £2 million and up,” said Kelly.
PLSA Investment Conference is being held in Edinburgh on 27–29 February.
