Clearstream, Deutsche Börse Group’s post-trade business, and 360T, its FX trading platform, have launched a joint three-year partnership with Team Malizia, the offshore sailing team led by Boris Herrmann.
The partnership covers The Ocean Race Atlantic 2026, The Ocean Race 2027, and the Vendée Globe 2028/29.
The sponsorship is positioned around values alignment, resilient systems, real-time data and decisive action rather than logo placement.
This builds on the existing partnership between 360T and Team Malizia that began in November 2024, with Clearstream now joining as a co-sponsor. The partnership also includes support for Team Malizia’s education and climate research initiatives.
Florian Pfleiderer, Head of Strategy and Transformation at Clearstream, said operating critical financial market infrastructure and racing solo around the world “share the same fundamental elements: resilient systems, real-time data, and decisive action in fast-changing environments.”
Team Malizia combines elite offshore racing with climate science, collecting ocean data during races and running an education programme in 11 languages aimed at raising awareness of climate change.
Carlo Kölzer, Group CEO of 360T, said the partnership reflects a “shared commitment to leveraging pioneering technology, achieving the highest levels of performance, and pushing boundaries responsibly.”
Financial market infrastructure firms are increasingly turning to elite sport sponsorship to communicate brand values around precision, technology and performance to institutional audiences.
