eToro, the trading and investing platform, has partnered with iShares by Blackrock to launch free ETF courses for investors.
The courses will be hosted on eToro Academy and will feature accessible and relatable content
to empower current and future investors to grow their knowledge and wealth through ETFs.
Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are funds that issue shares, which are then traded on a stock exchange.
Amy Butler, global head of PR and communications at eToro, said the partnership comes as eToro’s survey of retail investors revealed the need to educate consumers on ETFs.
“We’ve partnered with iShares by BlackRock, the largest ETF provider in the world, to provide free and accessible educational content on ETFs for US investors.
“ETFs have been one of the most significant innovations in financial services. They are a low cost, easy way for everyone to invest,” said Butler.
The platform will also give investors access to a “global community of investors,” providing educational content, webinars, podcasts, and live events.
The partnership aims to help consumers understand the role that ETFs can play in their portfolio as more individuals take control of their finances, said Butler.
iShares by BlackRock has a global line-up of over 1,300 ETFs and $3.12 trillion in assets as of 30 September 2023.
