Experian has unveiled a fairytale-inspired brand platform designed to highlight the ways small financial interventions can transform people’s lives.
‘Better Your Story’, which was created by BBH London, takes a twist on well-known nursery rhymes and fairytales to show the universal need for a helping hand when it comes to managing money.
The hero 60-second TV film reimagines the classic tale ‘There Was an Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe.’ It shows her cramped home of shoe on a normal street and the chaos of raising a large family on a tight budget.
With guidance from Experian, she checks her credit score and uses the app to manage her finances and improve her score. The story concludes with her family moving into a spacious four-bedroom cowboy boot, demonstrating how better financial decisions can lead to better outcomes.
The campaign also includes out-of-home elements, with three billboards and digital displays featuring playful twists on familiar stories, such as ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bedroom Semi-Detached’, ‘Snow White and the Seven-Seater Sofa’ and ‘Jack & Jill Went Up the Hill in Their New Convertible’.

The campaign encourages customers to take control of their financial futures, showing tangibly how the company empowers users to make better financial choices and achieve their goals and aspirations.
The platform will run across TV, cinema, VOD, radio, digital, social media and OOH for an initial three-month period.
