How does it feel to be shortlisted for the 2025 Financial Promoter Awards?
We’re delighted to be shortlisted! It’s always rewarding to see creative ideas and hard work recognised – especially when there’s been a real team effort across the business.
What does this recognition mean to you, your team, and your organisation?
It’s a reminder that marketing doesn’t happen in isolation but through the collaboration of many teams at Hiscox. And of course, it’s always nice when experts from across the industry appreciate that you’ve done something interesting or offered a fresh perspective.
What part of your work are you most proud of?
That we created something exciting without losing sight of what matters to us most: making insurance feel human, relevant, and maybe even a little bit fun.
What was the biggest challenge you faced, and how did you overcome it?
Our biggest challenge is always to push ourselves – and the business – to try something different in a sector that often plays it safe.
We overcame it by working closely with colleagues across the business, building trust in our strategy and showing that a new approach could deliver exciting results.
How do you see marketing and communications evolving in financial services over the next few years?
We’re seeing data raise the floor on what’s possible creatively. With richer insights into customer needs and behaviours, campaigns can be sharper, more relevant, and more engaging from the outset.
If you could give one piece of advice to others entering these awards in the future, what would it be?
Don’t just present the results – tell the story. Show how the strategy came together, why you made the choices you did, and how the campaign unfolded.
Are you excited for the gala in November? What are you most looking forward to?
Absolutely, we’re excited to celebrate the achievements of the industry as whole, connect with peers, and enjoy an evening of celebrating as a team.
How do you and your team celebrate success?
We like to celebrate wins across the whole marketing team – success is always more fun when celebrated together.
