Turning complexity into clarity: how we took onChain to market
Marketing financial infrastructure requires a particular mindset.
The products are technical, buying decisions involve multiple stakeholders, and experienced buyers quickly test whether the story stands up to operational scrutiny.
That shaped our approach when we took Clear Junction’s onChain Stablecoin Pay-In proposition to market.
onChain enables eligible financial institutions to offer customers stablecoin-based prefunding through dedicated deposit addresses, with transactions screened before conversion and fiat crediting.
Our first marketing question was simple: how would a potential buyer assess this proposition?
Senior decision-makers would want to understand the commercial use case, alongside detailed questions from Treasury, Operations, Product and Compliance.
How would funds move? How would reconciliation work? Where would liquidity sit? What controls would apply? How would the service fit into existing payment infrastructure?
Those questions became the starting point for the campaign.
We are a small marketing team with a broad remit, so much of the work was built using internal expertise. We combined desk research with Product knowledge, leadership input and regular feedback from Sales.
That gave us direct access to the questions prospects were asking and a clearer view of where the market needed greater explanation.
The research became the foundation for Value in Transition, our whitepaper exploring how bank rails, permissioned platforms and programmable public networks are increasingly operating alongside one another.
It gave us a framework for explaining where stablecoins fit within institutional payments and where the more difficult operational questions begin.
Governance, liquidity, reconciliation, operational resilience and evidence of control became central to the wider narrative.
From there, the campaign developed across multiple channels.
The thinking informed our website and vertical positioning, product messaging, PR, webinars, executive commentary, social content, sales enablement, events and direct commercial conversations.
The process remained iterative throughout.
Sales brought back questions from prospects.
Product helped us work through the technical details. Marketing mapped those insights to the buyer journey and used them to strengthen both the product story and the wider market narrative.
That cross-functional collaboration became one of the most valuable parts of the work.
Complex B2B marketing improves when Marketing stays close to the people building the product and speaking to customers.
It gives the team a clearer view of what buyers care about, where they hesitate and what information helps a conversation progress.
We also used AI and data practically across research synthesis, audience segmentation, analysis and content repurposing. Human judgement and cross-functional review remained central to claims, technical wording and compliance-sensitive content.
The result was a clearer route from market education into meaningful commercial and technical conversations, alongside a more consistent way for Clear Junction to explain the role stablecoins can play within modern payments infrastructure.
The campaign also gave Sales a stronger framework for discussing the proposition with prospects, moving conversations more naturally from high-level market interest into the operational questions that matter when financial institutions assess new infrastructure.
For me, being shortlisted also recognises the work that sits behind the visible campaign: the research, product sessions, Sales feedback, careful edits and willingness to challenge an argument until it holds up.
That discipline is the part I am proudest of.
Being part of the Financial Promoter community gives us an opportunity to celebrate that craft, and the people turning complex financial services into clear, credible and commercially useful stories.
