Gallagher’s title sponsorship of the Dublin Horse Show began as the event opened today.
It comes as the 151st show welcomes more than 100,000 visitors and celebrates the 100th year of the Nations Cup.
Derek Henry, interim CEO of Gallagher, said the partnership underlined Gallagher’s long-term commitment to Ireland and the event’s future.
“We are absolutely thrilled to become title partner of the Gallagher Dublin Horse Show, one of the most prestigious events in international show jumping and a can’t miss date in the diary for horse fans across Ireland,” he said.
The insurance broking and risk management firm was confirmed as the show’s new title partner in June under a three-year agreement with the RDS. The deal represents a significant investment in one of Ireland’s best-known sporting and cultural events and sees the competition rebranded as the Gallagher Dublin Horse Show.
Running from 5-9 August at the RDS in Dublin, the show is regarded as one of the most prestigious fixtures on the international show jumping calendar. Organisers said the partnership will help enhance the experience for visitors, competitors and corporate guests while supporting the event’s international profile.
Paul Kelly, chief executive of the RDS, said the agreement reflected a shared commitment to heritage, excellence and Ireland’s equestrian traditions. He added that Gallagher’s backing was a strong endorsement of the show’s global reputation.
Gallagher has expanded rapidly since entering the Irish market in 2022 and now operates from 12 locations, serving more than 300,000 businesses and consumers. The group, founded in Chicago in 1927, operates in more than 130 countries and employs more than 71,000 people worldwide.
The sponsorship also reflects Gallagher’s growing investment in sport. Globally, the company backs a range of properties including rugby, American football, baseball and motorsport, while continuing to grow as one of the world’s largest insurance brokers.
