Gallagher has deepened its commitment to supporting rugby at every level with a three-year partnership as the official insurance partner of Premiership Women’s Rugby.
The partnership reinforces Gallagher’s long-standing dedication to supporting rugby at every level, from grassroots to the professional game, building on its eight-year relationship with Premiership Rugby and its collaborations with World Rugby, the Women’s Rugby World Cup and New Zealand Rugby, including the Black Ferns.
Gallagher’s engagement with rugby reflects the shared values of integrity, passion, respect and teamwork that underpin both the sport and the company’s approach to supporting its clients, colleagues and communities.
Through the new partnership, Gallagher will help drive the growth of women’s rugby both on and off the pitch by supporting leadership, coaching and community development initiatives that reflect its own values and culture.
It builds on the momentum of a record-breaking Women’s Rugby World Cup held in the UK this summer, providing a platform to create new pathways for women and girls in sport.
It also expands on Gallagher’s existing initiatives in this area, such as the High Performance Academy, a global development and leadership programme run with World Rugby, which aims to increase the number of women in high-performance coaching and leadership roles.
Sarah Griffiths, director of marketing and communication at Gallagher, said: “The growth of women’s rugby is one of the most exciting stories in sport and we are delighted to support PWR as the league and the clubs continue to inspire players and fans across the country,
“At Gallagher, we believe in partnerships that create real impact – not just brand visibility – so this is much more than putting a logo on a shirt. Just as we help our clients face their future with confidence in our day to day business, we are looking forward to supporting the growth of the women’s game and building on the incredible legacy created by the Red Roses this summer.”
