Searing Point Wealth Management has announced a new partnership with Volleyball Ireland, supporting the women’s under 20 team at the European Championships.
The Dublin-based investment group’s managing director, Patrick Thorpe (pictured, right) said the business was looking for a sponsorship opportunity that mirrored the business’s own values.
“To succeed at a high level in sport you need perseverance, dedication, and teamwork – values that resonate deeply with our company values. This is a historic event for the sport and will showcase the talent of our women’s team,” he said.
“We are committed to help foster opportunities for women to achieve their goals in all areas of their lives including sports and financial independence. We wish the team and organisers the very best with the event.”
The sponsorship comes at a significant time for Team Ireland, as the country will become the first ever nation from the Small Countries Division to compete at a major European Championship finals. The event begins on Monday (5 August).
The European Championships will see Ireland facing Italy, Poland, Serbia, Ukraine, Czechia and Finland. There will also be a Women in Sport day on Saturday 10 August.
The captain of the Irish team at the championships, Laura Connolly, said securing a strong financial sponsor is a huge boost for the team.
“Having the support of a reputable Irish company like Searing Point Wealth Management is vital for our preparation and performance, it allows us to focus on the court, knowing that the financial pressures are taking care of,” she said.
