MacDonald Group, the Scottish insurance broker, has undergone a rebrand following its acquisition by Partners& in 2022.
The change marks a strategic shift, reflecting the broker’s alignment with its parent company and the unification of both businesses under one innovative, forward-looking brand.
The rebranding follows a period of significant growth for MacDonald Group, which has seen an increase of over 70% since the acquisition three years ago.
As a result, the firm has chosen to adopt the Partners& name, signifying a closer integration with the wider organisation.
Colin Grant, client service partner at MacDonald Group, explained: “The rebrand formally aligns MacDonald Group to the wider Partners& team and the name pretty much sums up what we are all about.
“Our partnerships with clients, insurers and our wider ecosystem enable us to operate in a truly exceptional way.”
Founded in 1978, MacDonald Group operates across multiple locations in Scotland, including Arbroath, Benbecula, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Perth.
The acquisition by Partners& was intended to bolster the company’s knowledge and presence in the Scottish insurance market while providing the necessary infrastructure to facilitate growth.
The broker has expressed excitement about the future, with plans to build the “best advisory business” not only in Scotland, but across the UK. The company is forecasting a further 20% growth in the 2025/26 financial year.
