MAS is leaning into the chaotic side of “smart” technology with a campaign that shows that while modern cars might be more intelligent than ever, drivers still need dependable cover when things go wrong.
The 30-second spot follows a driver attempting a simple parallel park in an electric car. Instead of helping, the vehicle bombards him with warning beeps and flashing alerts.
The overload distracts him so much that he reverses straight into a plant pot, which the car dutifully misidentifies as a pedestrian.
The film ends with the line: “Even smart cars have dumb moments. But at least you can rely on MAS Motor Vehicle Insurance.”
The creative plays on the comedic irony that the tech designed to improve safety can sometimes be the very thing that creates the problem.
The campaign is supported by OOH billboards and a radio spot, all reinforcing the message that when smart systems glitch, reliable insurance still matters.
