Debt advisory group MoneyPlus is planning a new B2C PR campaign to increase awareness of regulated debt resolution services in the UK.
The Manchester-based business announced its plans after appointing PR agency Havas Red following a competitive pitch process.
Chris Davis, chief executive officer of MoneyPlus, said he is hopeful that the agency will help his company to “shape the landscape for better debt services and get the right help to people who need it.”
In June, MoneyPlus announced that it had received further funding from OakNorth Bank, in addition to the £6.5m loan that the group secured in September 2022.
At the time, the company said it was funding the scale up operations in anticipation of greater demand for its services, amid the ongoing cost of living crisis.
In a media statement, Red Havas North managing director, Nigel Hughes, said working with MoneyPlus has been enlightening.
“Seeing firsthand the care and attention that goes into each stage of the advice process, and beyond into solution management as well, really demonstrates their commitment to supporting people with unmanageable debts.
“It’s also clear that there are regulatory changes that need to happen to keep consumers safe in their search for debt help and aware of a full range of options to explore. Watch this space as we work with them to make sure these regulatory changes happen.”
