NatWest Group has partnered with Royal Voluntary Service to help expand volunteering opportunities across the UK, becoming a Founder Member of the charity’s digital volunteering platform, GoVo.
The partnership will see NatWest work alongside Royal Voluntary Service to support the development of GoVo, helping make volunteering more accessible to individuals and organisations while encouraging greater participation in communities nationwide.
As part of the agreement, NatWest will also use GoVo for Business to expand its employee volunteering programme. The bank’s 40,000 UK colleagues, each entitled to three days of volunteering leave annually, will be able to use the platform to find opportunities that align with their interests, skills and availability.
The partnership builds on NatWest’s existing commitment to community engagement. In 2025, colleagues contributed 142,000 volunteering hours, supporting charities and community organisations across the country.
This included initiatives aligned with the bank’s focus on helping people manage their money and supporting business growth, including NatWest Thrive, Financial Foundations and Accelerator.
Carole Urey, chief commercial officer at Royal Voluntary Service, said: “Having NatWest as a Founder Member of GoVo is a significant step. The bank has a strong track record in employee volunteering and its colleagues have already made a huge contribution.
“We need volunteers more than ever and businesses like NatWest can be powerful advocates, helping make volunteering a bigger part of working life and in communities.”
Michael Duncan, head of giving strategy and programmes at NatWest Group, added: “Volunteering is an important part of who we are as an organisation and we’re incredibly proud of the contribution our colleagues make to communities across the UK.
“By working with Royal Voluntary Service, we can make it easier for even more colleagues to find opportunities that fit their interests and availability, while supporting a shared ambition to encourage greater participation in volunteering more widely.”
Launched in October 2025, GoVo connects volunteers with more than 1,900 charities and over 600 volunteering opportunities across every UK postcode. Charities can access the platform free of charge, while revenue generated through its business offering is reinvested into Royal Voluntary Service’s charitable mission.
