NatWest Group is to sponsor the British Olympic Association (Team GB) in the lead up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The sponsorship includes support for athletes on financial planning and establishing a small business. It will also include support for local communities to champion the potential of young people throughout the nation.
In a statement, Margaret Jobling, chief marketing officer at NatWest, said the sponsorship reflects the shared values of the banking group and Team GB.
“We share a common goal with Team GB – to champion potential – and together, through inspiration and expertise, we are on a mission to support communities, businesses and individuals across the UK,” she said.
“We look forward to supporting members of Team GB over the next year on their journey to Paris 2024.”
Further marketing activity, including a multi-media advertising campaign, relating to the partnership is also being planned for early 2024, a NatWest spokesperson confirmed.
“NatWest are joining us at a vital point on our road to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games,” said Andy Anson, chief executive officer of the British Olympic Association.
“Our preparations are advancing at pace, and it’s important that we do everything we can to make sure our athletes can reach their own potential, as well as inspiring the nation to do the same.
“Sharing a common goal makes for a strong and meaningful partnership, and we look forward to working with NatWest in the run up to Paris 2024 and beyond.”
